The Adara Hotel In Whistler – Hotel Review
With COVID still in effect and certain restrictions causing our travel to be a little different this year, it has put a damper on some travel plans. However, there are so many amazing places to explore in BC. One very popular destination is Whistler, BC. If you are planning a staycation in BC this year, I would highly recommend Whistler Village and specifically a stay at the Adara Hotel Whistler. This small three-level boutique hotel has so much to offer!
Whistler Village is known for adventures whether it’s skiing, hiking, trail riding, mountain biking, sightseeing, or just merely enjoying the amenities at your hotel.
Adara Hotel Whistler – Loft Mountain Suites
We travelled as a group of five and were hosted in the loft mountain suites to suit our needs. We got two side by side rooms with adjoining doors and it was like having one penthouse suite. If you are travelling as a group I would recommend this idea. It is super convenient and fun, but still gives you the privacy you need.
The loft suites are two levels which give you a lot of extra space. It comes equipped with a small kitchenette that includes a coffee press, coffee, tea kettle, tea and all the fixings. It includes a small mini-fridge and some pantry storage space. The living room has a pull-out couch and armchair, enough space to hang out for an evening. Whether your there to do some work at the office table, watch some TV or take advantage of there free PlayStation if you are a gamer, they have it all.
Let’s not forget the adorable rooftop patio that’s perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or an evening glass of wine. Everything about the hotel and suites is very cabin vibes and rustic, nothing too fussy! For a full view of the room be sure to check out my Instagram story here.
Right now they have a couple of great deals going on. One is a romantic package. For 20.00 CAD you can have a nice bottle of wine awaiting your arrival. The other option is for local BC residents. Book three nights or more and enjoy a 50% discount on weekdays and 25% off on weekends. Your stay includes complimentary parking (availability upon arrival) and discounted breakfast at StonesEdge restaurant.
Adara Hotel Ameneties
The Pool / Hot Tub:
Who doesn’t love an outdoor pool during the summertime? At the Adara Hotel, they take seriously the cleanliness of the pool deck, pool and hot tub. With the majority of local tourists being skeptical over COVID, Adara Hotel was on top of keeping these amenities cleaned and properly maintained.
Sitting by the pool deck looking out all the view provides you with all the feels to just unwind and relax.
Right now, due to COVID, they have limited seating available. They do however provide chaise lounge hammock chairs and outdoor patio furniture that can be used, just without cushions. We didn’t mind this at all as it allowed us to wipe everything down to our satisfaction and ensured our health and safety. The staff was very accommodating of our group rearranging furniture to set up a section for us to stay socially distanced from others.
There is a bathroom right off the main deck for everyone to use so you don’t have to go back to your room every time. It was always kept extremely clean with ample hand soap and hand sanitizer.
Outdoor Fire Pit:
The outdoor fire pit was such a fun added space to go and enjoy with a beverage of choice and to enjoy the scenery. Check it out here.
StonesEdge Kitchen:
Attached to the Adera Hotel Whistler you will find the StonesEdge Kitchen. Their reasonably priced breakfast (that starts at 9 am and goes till 1 pm) and rustic decor, as well as a beautiful outdoor patio, are super appealing! With an assortment of breakfasts tried, we had zero complaints. Everything came out extremely fresh and beautifully plated. They sanitized frequently and made sure to put reservation labels on every other table to provide safe social distancing.
They also offer items like charcuterie and cocktails, and late-night snacks (from 10 pm until 1 am) after a night out on the town. It’s a must-try!
Activities near Adara Hotel Whistler
The location of the Adara Hotel is right in the village. It is super close to a market, the BCL and many other stores and restaurants. Whistler has so many local loops, trails and lakes to explore that are nearby such as Lost Lake and provided for your convenience is a shuttle pick up right beside the hotel.
You can see the Zipline and the mountain biking track right from the hotel. Right now they are offering 20-30% discounts for guests for Superfly Ziplines, Wedge River rafting, and more. I would highly recommend checking out the Summer / Winter activities listed here on the Adara Hotel website.
You can also visit Whistler.com, the official Whistler destination website with all the facts, maps, things to do, etc… Another great resource is the @gowhistler Instagram page.
Choose Adara Hotel Whistler For Your Next Stay!
I look forward to returning to the Adara Hotel. I respected how they took COVID cleanliness very seriously. Everywhere you turned there were hand sanitizing stations encouraging you to use them. They had plexiglass at the front desk to ensure our safety and made sure everyone was distancing. To read more about there safety procedures that they did follow, click here.
